Palestine Forerunners Turkish Post - Caiffa (Haifa) to Marash (at Anatolia Turkey). Cover franked pair of 20 para definitive stamps plus 10 Para single, all tied by superb strikes octagon type postmarks of "Caiffa 1" dated 14.9.1918.  Caiffa moon type Turkish censor on front (Collins type CM3). This cover mailed during the fighting between Turkish forces and British & French forces in Anatolia which the Turkish surrender by October 1918. VF scarce postal history showpiece.

Palestine Forerunners Austrian Post extremely RARE DESTINATION -  Jerusalem to the Australian Island of Tasmania.  Printed matter cover (flap is unsealed) franked 10 Para tied by Jerusalem double circle postmark dated 19.4.1901 transits & arrival postmark on back of Port Said Egypt  25.4.1901, Launceston Tasmania 25.5.1901 & Hobert  (Tasmanian Capital city) 27.5.1901. Cover with some wrinkles & few small marginal tears otherwise F-VF.  This is one of 2 mailed items recorded from the Holy Land during the Ottoman Empire era to Tasmania.

Austrian Offices in the Levant - Double postage due from 2 countries Italy & Jerusalem Palestine - 1908, Great Britain, 1 d carmine King Edward VII, single franking on cover from Westkensington, FE 10 08, addressed to Charing Cross in London, from there forwarded by the company Cox & Co. (on reverse violet oval stamp "FORWARDED BY COX & CO. 16, CHARING CROSS S.W.) to Florence in Italy, there because of insufficient franking with 5 C and 10 C Italian postage due in FIRENZE, 13.2.08, retaxed and forwarded again by post to Jerusalem. On arrival at JERUSALEM, 24.II.08, with 20 Para dark green postage due stamp of Austrian Levant. Cover with small stains & wear. Exceptional, extremely rare and probably unique franking and postage paid combination.

Palestine Forerunners Russian Post - 10 Kop. Letter card mailed from Jaffa to England April 12 1898. Imprinted stamp tied by RARE Retta postmark alongside Port Said transit p/m April 20 1898 & England arrival p/m April 27 1898. VF & scarce. Egyptian Rettas cancellations are recorded from 1866, at first used to cancel the stamp with the postmark struck elsewhere on the envelope. This practice was later abandoned in favour of the cancel alone. Rettas continued in use to cancel stamps (in Port Said) that had missed being cancelled at the point of origin, and often also to cancel mail emanating from ships (such as this letter card). It was either posted in a loose postal box hung over the side of the ship in Jaffa or harbur, or onboard ship. Bale catalog value for this postmark on Holy Land Russian letter card $ 1500.00. This letter card with long English written message inside. The message indicate of the letter written in Jaffa April 12 1898.
