THOMAS cds (15/3) on reverse, thence by British Packet to PANAMA with single ring cds of transit (March 22) in black. Prepaid British rate of '10d.' marked in red crayon on front. Taxed on arrival in Lima with 1874/79 Postage Due 10 c. orange tied by 'Lima / Principal ' cds (April 1, 1878) in black. The Cuban adhesive with file fold but a rare and most unusual usage. Dec 1858 1 d. cancelled by dotted Obrajillo in blue; 1 peseta red usages with internal single frankings (5), single usage to Bolivia, 1862 cover to Arequipa franked by 1 p. red (2) and a similar franking to Valparaiso taxed '65' centavos on arrival.  Lot 555 - Overseas Peru - Corinphila Auction AG Auction 202-2041868: Lecoq 1 d. green, slightly tired and touched, used on 1870 cover to Genova tied by PASCO / T datestamp (Nov 15) in black. Cover travelled via Lima (Nov 18), Callao British P.O. (Nov 22), and thence via French Paquebot with circular LIGNE-B / PAQ. FR. No. 3 datestamp on reverse (Nov 25) in black (Salles fig. 1431) and carried on the 'Nouveau Monde'. British P.O. PANAMA TRANSIT datestamp (Nov 30) on front and the cover transferring to the Paquebot 'Floride' with LIGNE B / PAQ. FR. No. datestamp (Dec 11) in black with St. Nazaire entry cds (Jan 9, 1871) in red on front. Taxed by Italian 1870 Postage Dues 40 c. and 1 lire tied by Genova arrival datestamps (Jan 16). Oval 'Certificado / Lima' handstamp on front and reverse with Lima cds (June 21) and docketing of sender and receipt. A scarce and attractive usage.  Lot 587 - Overseas Peru - Corinphila Auction AG Auction 202-2041874/84: 'Inflation Rate' cover from Lima to Paris franked at 162 centavos rate with 2 c. violet-blue, 10 c. green, 50 c. deep green and 1 soö rose-red all tied by 'Lima / Principal' datestamps (Oct 22, 1879) in black and by Paris cds in blue (Nov 26). Reverse with 'New York / Panama Transit' duplex (Nov 14). A few cover imperfections but an extremely rare 6 times rate cover at the increased tariff of 27 centavos, in use from April to December 1879 only: the sole recorded example and unique.
