1919-20 surcharged "2 dollari Pechino" and "2 Dollari Tientsin", each used in combination with corresponding 12c on 30c Special Delivery on separate registered (legal size) covers to Greenville, Illinois, the latter with "RR.PP.Italiane-Tientsin Non Multabile Affrancatura Secondo Tariffa Poste Cinesi", transit and arrival pmks, filing folds and wrinkles well away from the stamps. A splendid pair of covers from the Italian Offices in China, with Diena and Bolaffi certificates. The Pechino cover (Sass.29,E2) is unique; Tientsin (Sass.25,E2) cover is one of two known with the high value franking (Sassone states "Only One Known")! A Treasure of Italian Philately, accompanied by articles and press releases regarding these two items (cat. €60,000 as used off cover)
