Printed matter, censored mail, special cancels (e.g. the rare three line "ROMA VI CONGRESSO POSTALE UNIVERSALE") are included in this collection as well as the 1911 3,60 L booklet (Michel and Sassone No 2), it is a pity that the booklet is separated for display. A better collection with many better items and uncommon tariffs. Each item with a good description. A nice exhibit in the classic philately section but also a treasure trove for the postal historian. These stamps as intended to parcel fees or insurance fees for higher amounts. But inflation in Italy in the 1980ties was high and stamps covering an insured express parcel in 1980 hardly paid a registered cover in 1992. This collection, exhibit like described, covers all stamps of the "alti valori" series and shows thier usages. This includes rare items from the early years as well as easier to find usages of the 1990ties (and even a few "late usages" in the € period).
