1934-75 Jewish Autonomous Region, four covers or cards incl. 1934 cover and card to Canada, with Tikhonkaya-v (railway station for Birobidzhan), 1942 card franked with Soviet 20k green, tied by a bilingual (Yiddish and Russian) "Birobidzhan EAO" cds, sent to Tashkent; also cover from Obluchye (a town in the Jewish Autonomous Oblast, Russia, located on the Amur 159 kilometers west of Birobidzhan) sent in 1975 to Cuba, fine lot. Birobidzhan is a town and the administrative center of the Jewish Autonomous Oblast. It is located on the Trans-Siberian railway, close to the border with the People's Republic of China. It was granted urban-type settlement status in 1928 and town status in 1937

1942 (22 June) German 6pf stationery card from Litzmannstadt, Ghetto with"Litzmannstadt Grosste Textil-Industrie im Osten"(greatest textile Industry in the East) slogan cancel, addressed to Oberndorf, with type written message stating"the addressee has left for an unknown destination", with"Der Oberburgermeister Gettoverwaltung"(Lord Mayor of the Ghetto Government) printed and handstamped inscriptions, archival holes (Litzmanndstadt - Lodz, had been a key industrial center in prewar Poland. The Lodz ghetto became a major production center under the German occupation and they used Jewish residents for forced labor. By August 1942, there were almost 100 factories within the ghetto which produced textiles, especially uniforms, for the German army)
