1905, 1 ½ Piaster on 30 Pfennig with overprint error "foot stroke and stroke of the large 1 of the left value declared 1 ½ broken off" (field 80) in a marginal block of four with three normal stamps and vertical pair of margins 1 ½ Piaster on 30 Pfennig with HAN "H 6737" each with cancellation "BEIRUT DP *a 25.12.06" on overfranked R-letter to Leipzig with issue cancellation and in perfect condition. Constantinople forerunner - registered covers via Odessa (Russia): 1872, 5 Groschen ochre-brown with clear "KAISERL. DEUTSCH. P.A. CONSTANTINOPEL 7.5.74" on registered envelope up to 15 g with routing mark "via Odessa" and handstamp "Recomandirt" to Leipzig with reverse arrival datestamp. The stamp (postage stamp) is fresh colours, well embossed, with demand perforation and in faultless condition, the envelope with the usual traces of transport and opening in good overall condition. So far only a few registered covers from Constantinople are known, to the German Empire so far unique single franking with routing via Odessa and great breast plate and forerunner scarcity, certificate Jäschke-L. BPP (2009). Mail from Constantinople could only be forwarded via Odessa (Russia) from 1 November 1873. For the letter of the 1st weight category 5 groschen were due (3 groschen letter fee and 2 groschen registered covers fee)

1872, 1 groschen carmine with screw head imprint and 2 ½ groschen reddish brown each with clear inscription "KAISERL. DEUTSCH. P.A. CONSTANTINOPEL 25.2.74" on folded letter up to 15 g with handwritten routing mark "via Varna" and red chalk tax "3 ½" (Groschen) to Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland with arrival postmark. The fresh colours of the stamps are in perfect condition, the envelope with light aging, a decorative and not frequent postage paid cover with destination Switzerland

1872, 2 ½ reddish brown with crystal clear "KAISERL.DEUTSCH. P.A. CONSTANTINOPEL ° 7.1.74" on folded letter via Austria to Berlin. The fresh colours stamp (postage stamp) is very well embossed, very well perforated and ideally used, a very decorative single franking in perfect condition.

"KAISERLICH DEUTSCHES POSTOFFICE NO.1", the arrival postmark on envelope with small plate 3 Kreuzer carmine and 7 Kreuzer blue, the former one short perf, otherwise well perforated and fresh colours, each with neatly applied single-circle cancellation "LAHR 4 1 73", to Constantinople. Very attractive condition. An attractive and scarce letter from the cross district.
