"Beschädigt durch Brandungunlück im Postamt Shanghai", purple L2 on gold-coloured decorative envelope as field post cover with faint despatch datestamp "K.D.FELD.POSTSTATION No.2" to Asperg with arrival postmark of 9.4.01.
