1906/12: 1 d. red, a used example on 1908 postcard to Roma, Queensland tied by GPO Suva cds (April 29) in black with Purser's handstamp "S.S. SUVA." in violet at left - unrecorded outside of this small correspondence written by Frederick Quelhurst, a seaman working on board the S.S. Suva which traded fresh fruit from Fiji to Australia. Some water staining but rare.
1897 stampless OHMS commercial envelope sent to Leeds, England rated at 1s cancelled 'Levuka. July 21st. 1879' d/stamp, Leeds arrival on obverse, Surveyors Generals office envelope carried on P&O ships to UK. Scarce early official mail.
