On reverse with Singapore - Hong Kong sorting (11 SP 98) and Canton Dollar arrival (17 SEP 98). 1898.8.18進口報哀封，自伯明翰寄廣州廣東官銀錢局，貼英國票2-1/2便士，銷伯明翰日戳。背面蓋有新加坡至香港船上分揀戳（11 SP 98）及廣州到達大圓戳（17 SEP 98）。「廣東錢局」全稱「廣東官銀錢局」，由兩廣總督張之洞創辦於光緒十三年（1887年），位於廣州大東門外黃華塘（今黃華路），占地82畝。全局備有熔化爐72座，安裝鑄幣機90臺。張之洞通過中國駐英公使劉瑞芬調查了英國造幣機器價格、購置手續和造幣技術，在廣州大東門外黃華塘購置了82畝土地作為廠址，從英國喜敦廠（全名為「伯明翰,拉爾夫·喜敦父子造幣有限公司」,現在通稱伯明翰造幣廠）引進全套機器設備，並聘用了4名英國工程師。此信見證當初往來伯明翰造幣廠和廣州錢局之間的互通。 Ava Auctions Ltd.
