½ Groschen orange in mixed franking with large shield 1 Groschen carmine each with clear horseshoe cancellation "HAMBURG I.A. 24.OCTBR.72" (Spalink 17-1) on envelope via Ritzebüttel to Helgoland. The envelope with glued opening faults on top and reverse, the stamps are fresh colours, very well embossed, well centered, well perforated and except for a slightly corner crease at the 1 Groschen stamp right above in perfect condition. A decorative mixed franking with the scarce destination Helgoland with the postage of 1 1⁄2 groschen resp. 2 Hamburg shillings valid until 14 June 1873 for local correspondence from Bremen and Hamburg, here with red chalk tax "2" (shillings) on face

1865/1885, umfassende Sammlung von ca. 2.170 Marken Preußen, NDP, Deutsches Reich (meist Brustschilde) und Württemberg, je mit Hufeisenstempeln entwertet und sauber nach Spalink-Nummern in drei Steckbüchern sortiert. Die Qualität ist, wie üblich, etwas unterschiedlich, insgesamt jedoch sauber und ansprechend mit fast nur guten Abschlägen. In der erwähnten Stückzahl sind auch enthalten 67 Brustschildmarken mit Abschlägen vom Ausgabemonat (ab 2.Januar) und 41 Brustschildmarken gebraucht als Pfennige-Marken 1875. In diesem Umfang nicht häufig angeboten, ein beeindruckendes Lebenswerk!
