Eine extrem seltene Marke, von der laut Gibbs 13 ungebrauchte und 13 gebrauchte Exemplare sowie ein ungebrauchter 4er-Block in der Royal-Collection existieren. Signiert u.a. A. Brun, Fotoattest Pascal Scheller (2018). ÷ 1914: 50 Pf. purple/black on buff, mint with full original gum and light hinge traces, black overprint 'TOGO | Anglo-French | Occupation' by Catholic Mission at Lome in Type I, 3 mm line spacing. An extremely rare adhesive, according to Gibbs 13 unused and 13 used examples have been recorded and one unused block of four which is in the Royal collection. Signiert e.a. A. AUFDRUCKABART 'Zwischenraum zwischen "o" und "F" von "Anglo-French" nur 1¼ mm statt 2 mm'. Nur 1 Bogen mit 20 Marken wurde mit dem kopfstehenden Aufdruck versehen, so dass nur 2 Marken mit dem engen Abstand existieren! Fotoatteste British Philatelic Association (1946), Pascal Scheller (2018). ÷ 1914: 2 Mark blue, mint with full original gum and lower sheet margin, black INVERTED overprint 'TOGO | Anglo-French | Occupation' by Catholic Mission at Lome in Type I, 3 mm line spacing, OVERPRINT VARIETY 'Space between "o" and "F" in "Anglo-French" only 1¼ mm instead of 2 mm'. Only one sheet of 20 stamps has the inverted overprint and only two adhesives the smaller space! Certificates British Philatelic Association (1946), Pascal Scheller (2018). ÷ 1914: 2 Mark bleu surchargé 'TOGO Anglo-French Occupation' avec espacement large (3 mm entre les lignes). Surcharge renversée avec variété: 'Anglo-French' rapprochés: 1¼ mm au lieu de 2 mm. Cet espacement étroit existe aux positions 1 et 2 de la composition typographique de 20 surcharges. L‘ exemplaire est le 19éme du panneau avec la surcharge de la position 2. Il n'existe qu'un seul panneau de 20 timbres avec la surcharge renversée et seulement 2 exemplaires neufs avec cette varieté. Neuf avec gomme d'origine, au bord de la feuille. Authentique et sans défaut. Certifié par British Philatelic Association (1946) et par Pascal Scheller (2018).

Die Marken sind jeweils mit schwarzem Aufdruck 'TOGO | Anglo-French | Occupation' durch die katholische Mission in Lome versehen, 1 Mark in Type I (3 mm Zeilenabstand) und 20 Pf. sowie 25. Pf. in der wesentlich selteneren Type II mit 2 mm Zeilenstand. Darüber hinaus hat der 20 Pf. Wert den AUFDRUCKFEHLER 'zweites "O" von "TOGO" fehlt', der im 100er-Bogen nur an den Positionen 37 und 87 vorkommt. Fotoatteste British Philatelic Association (1937), Georg Bühler (1993), Royal Philatelic Society (1993), Pascal Scheller (2018). ÷ 1914: 20 Pf. ultramarine, 25 Pf. orange/black on yellow and 1 Mark carmine, on registered envelope from «ANECHO | TOGO | 23 12 16» to Basel with arrival mark «BASEL 4 | 9.II.17 | ST JOHANN» on reverse. The adhesives have the black overprint 'TOGO | Anglo-French | Occupation' by Catholic Mission at Lome, 1 Mark Type I (3 mm line spacing) and 20 Pf. as well as 25. Pf. the rare Type II with 2 mm line spacing. In addition, the 20 Pf. stamp has the OVERPRINT ERROR ' second "O" of "TOGO" missing', which occurs only at positions 37 and 87 of a sheet of 100. Les timbres sont marqués avec l'empreinte noire 'TOGO | Anglo-French |Occupation de la Mission Catholique à Lomé, 1 marque en Type I (3 mm d'espacement) et 20 Pf. ainsi que 25 Pf. dans le très rare type II avec un espacement de 2 mm.
