DDSG / DSNC 1867: 10 kr. green, perf. 9½, a used example on 25 July 1874 cover from Silistria to Pesth, Hungary tied by oval framed "AGENTIE / D 1. K.K. PR. DONAU / DAMPFSCHIFFAHRT / SILISTRIA" handstamp used as despatch in blue (Tchilinghirian fig. 918). "BAZIAS" cds of tranit (July 26) and charged "10" kreuzer due in blue crayon. Pesth arrival cds (July 27) on reverse. A rare usage, only this stamp is known with this cancellation on cover. DDSG / DSNC 1870: 10 kr. red, perf. 9½, a used example on 1871 entire letter from Sistov to Vienna, tied by bold strike of Roman dated "SISTOV / 25 / IV" circular datestamp in blue (Tchilinghirian fig. 929). Struck on arrival as a loose Ship Letter in Vienna (May 2) with italic "PER DAMPFSCHIFF" and due marking "10 Nk." (new kreuzer) handstamps both in black. Transferred to Romanian P.O. with "GALATZI" arrival cds (May 15) at right and charged "10" bani due on arrival in blue crayon manuscript. File fold well below the slightly aged adhesive, a fine cover.

Donau-Dampfschiffahrts-Gesellschaft" envelope carried at single registered rate to Copenhagen, tied by bilingual "Ruse / Roustchouk" cds (Nov 15). Reverse with oval "1. K. K. P. / D.D.S.G. / AGENTIE / RUSTZUK" in blue (Tchilinghirian fig. 912) alongside Copenhagen arrival (Nov 19) cds. Envelope sensibly opened for Exhibit display. Scarce and most attractive.

DDSG / DSNC 1870: 10 kr. green, perf. 9½, a used example on circa 1869 wrapper from Sistov to Rustchuk, cancelled by rare usage of Roman dated "AUSFOLGT" (Delivered) circular datestamp in blue (Tchilinghirian fig. 823). A very rare usage of this datestamp on letter - translated as "Forwarded" by Tchilinghirian and "Delivered" by Ringström & Tester. The cancellation was utilised briefly prior to the delivery of the Roman dated Sistov datestamp. Insignicant imperfections but very rare. Signed Holcombe. Cert. Danube Steam Navigation Co 1854/72: Group five covers incl. 1854 incoming mail written by the 'Locomotive and Marine Engine Works' in Newcastle upon Tyne and directed to the 'Imperial & Royal Steam navigation Co' in Vienna, also four covers originating from Sistov in Bulgaria with different 10 kr. frankings in red and green, two of them only with the thimble circular datestamp, directed to Braila, Orsova and Galatz. An appealing selection ex collection Provera.
