Lot 6002 - danemark - Corinphila Auction AG Auction 333-341 Nigeria, Cameroon, Sudan & Worldwide Postal History - Day 41862 (July 24): Entire letter from Copenhagen to Amsterdam, franked with 1854-7 2 sk. blue, 8 sk. green, 16 sk. greyish violet and 1858-2 4 sk. brown, all with clear to large margins, the combined 30 s. franking correctly paying the rate for letters up to 15gr., adhesives tied by '184' three-ring numeral cancel, "SJ.JB.P.SP.B. 2 Tog" cds (24 July), next-day oval Hamburg transit, "5" in manuscript denoting 3 sgr. for Hamburg and 2 sgr. (10c) for the Netherlands, reverse with "K.D.O.P.A. Hamburg" cds of the Danish Post Office (25 Jul), Amsterdam receiver (26 July), horizontal filing folds well clear of adhesives but noted for accuracy, a lovely franking with exceptional visual appeal.
