KG 60th AUCTION - day 3Faroe Islands: 1980, EUROPA CEPT "Famous Persons", 150 Öre "Jakob Jakobsen" and 1980, EUROPA CEPT "Famous Persons", 150 Öre "Jakob Jakobsen" and 200 Öre "Vensel Ulrich Hammershaimb", not issued 1st edition in combined recess-/offset print and comb. perf. 13:12 3/4, both stamps as pairs with sheet margins at the right, (both position 15/16 of the sheet), the 150 Öre including an unique plateflaw on pos. 15 circled by printers. This 1st edition was printed by Security Printers Sedel Tryckeriet in Helsinki and was rejected due to quality issues; it differed from the issued design by the perforation and the combinded printing! The present pair set does not originate from the quantities which were designated for destruction but from the sheets of 20 stamps which were sold in 2015. This sheets are the only stamps which were approved and released by the Faeroer PIT for the philatelic market. This pair with plate error is absolutely unique and an great modern world rarity! Accompanied by two photocopies of certificates MÖLLER BPP for the cpl. sheets, issued pairset for comparison, and the confirmation of the Faroe Islands PTT 2014 signed by the director Svanbjörg Manai!
