1772 (13 Feb) complete letter written from "Le Vaisala de Guerre la Princesse Wilhelmine Caroline au Rade de Gibraltar" to "Son Excellence Monsieur de Cornwallis Lieutenant General de la Majeste Roi D'Angleterre, et Gouverneur la Cittadelle de Gibraltar}, the contents regarding a vessel which was grounded on the way to Gibraltar, the Captain requesting the Governor of Gibraltar to allow them to make repairs and to store their gunpowder in the nearest magazine (endorsement inside "Danish Captain Billy"), fine and interesting letter to Lt.General Edward Cornwallis, governor of Gibraltar from 1761-1776. His nephew, Charles Cornwallis was the leading British General in the American War of Independence
