1915/90c.: Collection of covers (250+) with early Canoe issue cover, 1928 cover & contents from Missionary to USA with 3 d. tied "Tulagi" cds, 1929 registered cover franked 2 s. blue on lilac cancelled "Shortland Island", 1938 cover at 1½ d. airmail rate from GB with "Unclaimed" in mss. and "Return to Sender" cachet in violet, OAS covers ex NZ forces, 1945 cover to Malaita with 1½ d. tied "Lunga" cds, 1947 cover ex "Munda" carried on Ship "Daphne" with cachet (scarce), 1949 RSW 2 d. and 10 s. on FDC, 1950's air-letter usages at variety of rates,  "Barakoma Airfield" cover, 1951/52 covers carried on the "Cicely II", "Inaha", "Ozama Twomey" or "Malakuna", 1959/62 covers with Solomans Postage Due usages of 3 d., 4 d. and 6 d. charges on three covers, cancellations from Auki - Yandina, together with a quantity of more modern covers showing village cancels etc. A fine and seldom seen group and a fine genesis of a collection.

Smith of Sydney 1907 (Feb 14): 'Canoe' 6 d. chocolate, a used block of four, Types 1-2, marginal from left of sheet and showing the inscription "Sixty Stamps", cancelled by "Tulagi / British Soloman Ids." in black (Oct 1, 1908). Minute corner bend not affecting the charming appearance of a scarce multiple Gi = £280+.

1935 (May 6): Silver Jubilee 6 d. light blue & olive-green, an unused example from right of sheet, variety "Frame Printed Triple, Two Albino", fresh and fine, unmounted og. A superb stamp with very few, perhaps a handful known, the variety can be clearly seen between the coloured frame of the stamp and the perforations of the margin. Rare. Cert. Brandon (1996) Gi = £ 1'300.

Smith of Sydney 1907 (Feb 14): 'Canoe' 2 d. indigo, an unused block of thirty (6 x 5), being five horizontal rows from the sheet of 60 subjects, with part "(S)tamps at Two Pence" inscription in left margin, showing all six types in each row, one small piece of margin missing at right but of wonderful rich colour, horizontal bend in the bottom row not detracting from the appearance, large part or unmounted og. A very rare and attractive multiple Gi = £ 1'440+.

Smith of Sydney 1907 (Feb 14): 'Canoe' Plate Proofs in the issued colours, the complete set of seven values Imperforate on smooth surfaced card paper, all showing Types, one or two blocks with close to touched margins but a rare set, unused as 'issued' - seven sheets of each value were printed and given to an employee of Smith & Co. (420 sets), the employee sold 200 sets before the authorities instructed the printers to re-acquire the unsold balance.
