1850/51: 12 cents black on blue, Cottonreel 1st issue typeset circular, with thick rule, type A, with initials "WHL" - W. H. Lortimer, clerk to the colonial post office, cut square with almost four margins, cancelled by "DEMERARA / 29 OCT. 1850". An excellent example of this classic rarity. Certs. RPSL (1959), Ceremuga (2019) Gi = £ 35'000.

1906 (July 3): Registered cover from Beyrout to Nicosia bearing horizontal pair of KEVIII 2 d. grey-green & carmine, ovpt. type 5 'LEVANT / 1 Piastre' in black, tied by oval 'Registered Beyrout' datestamp, registration handstamp and Nicosia arrival cds (July 12) alongside. The addressee was not found, 'NOT CALLED FOR' handstamp applied on front, returned to Syria, reverse with Nicosia despatch and Beyrout arrival (July 19) datestamps on reverse.

New South Wales 1850 Entire letter from Launceston to London, struck with LAUNCESTON despatch cds (Jan 21) in black and rated '4' (pence) prepaid in red manuscript, reverse with step-type FALMOUTH / SHIP LETTER in blue and charged '8' (pence) for this service; 1860/72 1 d. scarlet, perf. 12, a horizontal pair, marginally imperforate at left, used on 1861 letter sheet to Sydney, tied by 'Raymond Terrace' datestamps (Oct 28), reverse with 'Limeburner's Creek' cds (same day) and Sydney arrival cds; South Australia 1855 Perkins Bacon 2 d. Plate Proof in dull carmine-lake, on medium wove paper without watermark, sheet marginal at left; Perforation Experiments / Emergency Issue 1868/71 1 s. chestnut red-brown, wmk. Large Star, rouletted issue perforated 11½-12½, lightly used example showing significant 'Double Impression' variety, especially prominent on the SOUTH AUSTRALIA tablet, cancellation leaving the variety very clear; 1876/1904 1 d. deep green, wmk. Crown SA, perf. 10, a used example with variety "Double Impression", with slight central stain of no significance as this example is the discovery copy which resulted in the Stanley Gibbons listing, matched with an unused normal example for comparison; Australia 1916  d. carmine-red, Plate 2, perf. 14¼ x 14, used examples (2), each showing the "Rusted Cliché" variety, positions 34-35 on the right pane; Third Watermark 1921 £ 2 black & rose, Die II, unused example of good strong colour overprinted SPECIMEN in black (Type B), showing variety "Broken Tail to Kangaroo"; and Papua New Guinea 1901/05 Lakatoi 2½ d. black & blue, wmk horizontal, thick paper, line perf. 14 in unused condition with large part og. Two certs.

MULLETT imprint (with "RA" joined in AUSTRALIA variety on left stamp), and the other, perforated through, with JOHN ASH imprint. Fresh and fine, large part or unmounted og. Gi = £ 250+.
