1870, "Ville d'Orléans" (Courier de Mandal-Post), complete preprinted folded cover with DKr. "PARIS Pl. De La BOURSE 24.NOV.70" (postage paid) to Lille with arrival postmark of 6 Dec, for the so-called "Mandal-Post" in quite well overall condition. Note: Part of the mail was thrown into the sea as ballast to avoid an emergency landing. This mail was salvaged by fishermen and forwarded to the French consulate in Mandal. Here, too, the mail was promptly forwarded wide to the addressees without labelling.
