SG 13 15 & 17 tied to entire to London "Via Marseilles" by 'PAID/SP17/ 1859/=ADELAIDE-S.A.=' cds in blue, 'LONDON-SW/NO7/59' arrival b/s, minor soiling & some internal repairs along the folds. [The First Roulettes were on issue for only a brief period and covers with any value are very scarce. Harry Lower's similar three-colour franking - the 6d from the Second Roulettes - on 1861 cover sold for $3910. The letter is signed "E Barton Pearce" (?) who states "...I am engaged for another six months in this Bank, living out of town, keeping a horse & dining in Town...all the people here are languid do as little as possible kind of people..."]
