EGIPTO. 1735 (Aug. 15). Entire letter from ALEXANDRIA to VENICE, endorsed ´Con D. Bergano, Q.D.C´ at lower left with manuscript red crayon stripe denoting payment and part red wax seal on reverse from disinfection on arrival. A fine and early entire.

EGIPTO. 1858 (Jan. 24). Large outer letter sheet from SUEZ to BOMBAY, struck with scarce double ring British P.O. SUEZ cds in black, reverse with Bombay arrival cds (Feb 15) in black. Seemingly charged at 12 shillings in manuscript on front of a most unusual cover. Ex collection Wolfsbauer.

Entire letter with fine printed heading, mailed from ALEXANDRIA to MILAN and franked by 1863 60c. mauve unusually tied by small cartridge PIROSCAFI / POSTALI / ITALIANI in deep blue-black with ALESSANDRIA D´EGITTO / POSTE ITALIANE cds alongside. Reverse with Ancona transit cds and Milan arrival. Slight contemporary stain on adhesive but a rare usage.

Large piece of cover probably mailed to CALCUTTA or points East, franked by Austria 1865 15kr. brown, perf 9½, strip of three, all tied by TRIEST (20/7) datestamps in black; Great Britain 1865 1s. green, pl. 4 above tied by British Post Office in Alexandria ´BO1´ obliterator in black. Minor imperfections but extremely rare.

Small imperfections but scarce.

Registered envelope to ALEXANDRIA bearing Napoleon 40 c. orange (slim cut), 2 c. brown, 20 c. blue and Type Sage Yvert 75, 5 c. green (strip of 3) tied by ALEXANDRIE EGYPTE double ring with boxed hand-struck registered. Used late, but an interesting combination. Stamps and envelope with minor stains.
