Long and very interesting entire letter dated PELOTAS 11/AP/1859 to Buenos Aires, endorsed "por vapor, via Rio Grande y Montevideo", where it received a red oval datestamp of 23/AP, "3" rating in pen, it shows disinfection slits. Very fine quality and interesting routing!

Long entire letter dated PELOTAS 16/FE/1865, sent to Buenos Aires by "Paquete Mercy", on reverse it received a datestamp of the English Postal Agency in Rio de Janeiro for 8/MAR, on front it bears a circular "PAID AT RIO DE JANEIRO" mark with crown, both in gray-blue, also manuscript postage dues in colored pencils. The content describes the difficult situation caused by the war, as Pelotas was the place with the most notable effects "[...
