2 Entire letters dated 17/JUN/1830 and 2/SE/1830 sent to ASTAFFORT and with origin that could not be determined. The first one bears PAU (18/JUN) and British marks: datestamp of 20/JUN/1830 on back and "1p." oval on front, all in black. The other letter: PAU datestamp (3/SE) and British circular datestamp "5/SEPT/1830" (on back), both in black and red "1p." oval. Interesting lot, with some minor defects, but very attractive!

RARE ROUTE and DOUBLE FRENCH RATE: Large fragment of cover sent from B.Aires to Mazeres (Hautes-Pyrenees) in DE/1873, dispatched from CARTERÍA "E" in Buenos Aires where it received the corresponding Argentine postage of 5c. and the French rate of 1Fr. (4x 25c.) to be carried by the French mail to destination (probably by Mensageries Imperiales). For some reason, it was forwarded by the English mail office in B.Aires, and the cover arrived in...
