County Philatelic Auctions Auction #239

Friday May 23, 2014 11:00 Europe/London

The sale includes penny blacks, QV £1’s, £5 Orange, 1929 PUC £1, Seahorses, a Silver Jubilee Prussian blue, Officials, proofs and other unusual items.  In addition there are interesting modern errors including imperfs and missing colours, oodles of British Commonwealth and useful Foreign.  For the thematic collector, there are over 200 lots of Birds, Fish, Trains, etc.
For those with more modest ambitions, there are plenty of basic sets, better singles, errors, varieties, covers and booklets priced from as little as £5.  There is also a good selection of Philatelic Literature.
3600 lots of GB and World from £5 to £5000+. Bids must be in GB currency. No buyers' premium. The only extras are postage at cost and a £1.50 packing charge per mailing. There are images for about 1200 of the 3600 lots.  All lots are guaranteed as described and the estimates take condition fully into account.  Most items are at less than half catalogue with many less than 30%.
Visa/Mastercard - no card surcharges, no buyers’ premium, no lot handling charges - simply good value for money.  Members ADPS.
Abbreviations are explained at www.stampauctions.co.uk/abbr.htm.
The estimates are treated as reserves but bids below estimate are considered.  Except on the clearance section (Lots 3302-3603), bids less than 90% of our conservative estimates are very unlikely to succeed.   In the clearance section any reasonable bid will be considered.
