1886/89: 1 a. blue, 2 a. violet and 4 a. green, medium native paper of good quality, used on 1894 double rate registered cover (up to 2 tolas) from Kalaiya to Kathmandu, all tied by two fine strikes of "Ka" (KALAIYA III) negative handstamps (Hepper page 10, fig. 8) in black. Reverse with Kalaiya half negative despatch cds (Feb 10) and Kathmandu manuscript arrival of the following day. Damaged at left but a very rare three colour franking....

1898/99: 2 a. bluish violet, imperforate on native paper, a used example on 1898 cover from Dhankua to Kathmandu, cancelled by circular barred "Dha" handstamp of DHANKUTA in black (Hepper page 9, fig 9) with reverse showing half negative Dhankuta despatch ((Oct 15) in black and faint arrival. The envelope with faults but fine strikes.

1886/89: 2 a. pale violet in a horizontal strip of three of fine colour and impression, with 1 a. deep blue used on 1890 registered cover at single rate plus 1 a. acknowledgement of receipt, from DHANKUTA to Kathmandhu tied by circular "Dha" handstamps (Hepper page 9, fig 9) in black. Reverse with Dhankuta despatch cds and Kathmandu arrival (June 13). A very scarce and most attractive franking.
