1892/96: 3 c. blue on pink postal stationery reply cards (7 examples, H&G 14), all used back to addresses in Chile: 1891 example sent back from HAMBURG (FREIHAFEN), 1892 example used back from LEIPZIG, 1892 usage back from LIEGE, 1894 usage back from THEISSEN, 1896 usage from GROSS-LICHTERFELDE and another from OSNABRUCK, 1896 usage from BRADFORD, YORKSHIRE. 1841: Letter from La Guayara (May 24) to Hamburg forwarded by British Packet, endorsed with Part strike 'La Guayara Franco' in red. The letter bears a British tax mark and a 40 Schilling tax in red for 40 Hamburg Schillings payable. An oval Stadtpost cachet (Jul 13) is struck on the back documenting a sailing time of around seven weeks. A rare letter.

1859: 20 c. blue, a fine example with large margins all round, in a deep shade, used on circa 1859 cover at single rate to Bogotá tied by oval framed "POPAYAN / FRANCA" handstamp in blue with repeated strike alongisde. An attractive entire addressed from General Vicente Guevara Cajiao paying the single rate for a distance between 450 and 1'350 kms. Rare.rnProvenance: Collection E. Langlais.
