Small piece of face panel missing at right but rare.

Booklet with straw cover, complete with pane of six Independence Airmail 5 c. red (Scott C143), Montufar 3 c. grey in five panes of nine (Scott 317), Postal Tax 1 c. orange in two panes of nine (Scott RA22); fresh and fine with full interleaving, slight horizontal bend to front cover but very rare.

1807/08c.: Cover front from the Office of Tobacco to Olanchito, struck with fair framed "COMA / YAGUA" despatch handstamp (Harris fig. 21 = 3pts, Tizón 1 = R) and rare circular "♚ / VE.7" handstamp (Harris fig. 23 = 6pts., G & Tizón 2 = EXT). A wonderful impression of this rare patriotic handstamp, introduced in support of Ferdinand VII who had been deposed by Napoleon Bonaparte.
