PENGUINS France - rare 1924 registered cover from Valros (Hérault) to a Max Laborde aboard the Cercolon on its way to the Kerguelen Islands with instructions to return the cover if not collected. The cover is franked with 1c - 4c Blanc issue and a 75c Ronsard with VALROS registration label with two CAPETOWN d/stamps on the reverse, one from the RETURNED L.O. with red RETOUR cancels on both sides.

PENGUINS Italy - three attractive unused comic postcards. For the first year of their five year training to be pilots, students at the Italian Airforce Academy were known as Pinguinos (Penguins), i.e. flightless birds. All cards show penguins and were designed by students. Also four unused postcards showing students dressed up as penguins at a carnival in Alassio.
