Issued between 1889 and 1891, the "Próceres" issue printed by Compañía Sudamericana de Billetes de Banco, commonly known as the ""Sudamericana"" issue, is very interesting not only for the beauty of its designs, but also for the great number of varieties in existence, the notable range of colors and shades of the various printings of each value, and the number and variety of covers (in this period Argentina was growing, and it received large numbers of immigrants that settled in small towns recently founded in the rural areas, which contributed to the notable development of railroads at the time). The fact that also makes this issue so attractive is that many proofs and essays have been found, making them accesible and affordable for most collectors, and even rarities have ""friendly"" prices. Today we are offering a selection prepared by Pablo Andrés, with almost 400 very nice lots, most of die proofs, but also including nice stamps, some interesting varieties, and a good selection of postal history with some rare covers with stamps that are seldom found on covers, and everything with starts that in general are 50% of the market price. So if you like this issue, take this chance and check the sale in detail!
