In the Proclamation Coins is a Brazil: 1732-M Joao V (1706-1750), gold 12800 Reis ('Johanna' = Dobra), italic arms shield, Minas Gerais mint. Also in the World Gold is an Egypt AH1357-1938 King Farouk 500 Piastres (5 Egyptian Pounds), Royal Wedding to Queen Farida, London mint. 42.49g. Graded PCGS 'PR 61' as fully brilliant proof with rev cameo appearance. Fr-11, KM-373. Only 1000 minted & very impressive large size gold coin. The most iconic design of Middle East coinage. Included in the World Banknotes section is a French Indo-China: 100 Piastres '01 Septembre 1925' HAIPHONG, Banque de l'Indo-Chine, s/n 0.00 000, perf 'SPECIMEN' diag at left & vert at right. PMG graded ''66 EPQ Gem Uncirculated' as it is an absolutely pristine fresh note with exceptional paper quality - sole highest graded example. P-20s unlisted as specimen. An amazing quality example of this extremely rare oversized top deniomination note . (Lot 13270) Reserved at $12,000 and also from Papua New Guinea a Samarai British New Guinea £5 ND (1897) at Burns, Philip & Co Ltd in Queensland, British New Guinea & Sydney. Uniface, no number, unsigned & undated. Printed in blue, light pink underprint. Imprint W.E. Smith Sydney. Unissued. Ex Burns Philp Archive.
