Lebanon French office, cover sent from Tripoli on 28/5/1889 to Malta via the french post offices of Beirut and Port Said, here was transshipped on the same day 31/5 on the Egyptian post office of Port Said and reached Malta on 5/6/1889. Rare "APRES DEPART" linear seal applied. Franked for 1P cancelled recorded by Cedar catalog as type "E" in a very late use. INTERESTING AND SCARCE.

Lebanon French office, cover with letter sent from the "Ecole Speciale des Langues Orientales vivantes" in Paris on 10/3/1904 to the famous Arabic literate Habib Zayat in Damascus via the french post offices of Beirut. Here was transshipped the day 17/3 on the Ottoman post office of Beirut to reached Damascus on 19/3/1904. INTERESTING AND SCARCE WHOLE.
