China, 1912, unissued, perforated "Map of China", 1¢ to $10 complete, set of 13, wonderfully fresh; fault-free and near pristine, with each value possessing full o.g., Very Fine and remarkably choice, an incredibly rare complete set, one of only a very few sets that have survived and remained intact, with nearly all having been destroyed with the scrapping of the issue.
Estimate HK$ 300,000 - 400,000

Intended to be the first commemorative issue of the Republic, with the 1¢ to $5 values overprinted bilingual "Tso Fei/Cancelled" in violet ovals, and the $10 overprinted in a 2-line violet handstamp reading the same bilingually. This set has sat dormant in the family's correspondence for decades, and quite possibly represents the finest quality set extant.
