China, 1898 (Nov. 8), registered uprated U.S. 5¢ entire to Canton, U.S. 5¢ entire, uprated by 4¢ large Banknote, along with 2¢ (4), 3¢ and 4¢ (2) small Bureau issues, all tied by St. Louis registry ovals, along with violet St. Louis c.d.s.'s and matching "R" handstamp; front shows San Francisco registry label with violet San Francisco Nov 14 transit on reverse; back also shows Hong Kong DE 21 98 transit with front showing Chinese Express delivery stamp, and Chinese Officially Sealed label over that (!), with each of these folded over to the back; minor flap tears on reverse, Fine to Very Fine, a striking and rare usage.
