Postal Censorship in the Grand Duchy of Finland, 1914-18
Award-winning exhibition collection mounted on 124 pages showing a wide spectrum of the postal censorship markings used in the Grand Duchy of Finland from August 15th 1914 to January 28th, 1918.
Highlights with many known in less than 5 examples include Tornio censor tape 12a, only recorded marking of the Wyborg CS12, Mark 17, one of only two CS5 marks with Russian text "Passage denied", Tornio label CT 15v1 with bold "A" in "Avannut", Hyvinkää CS 13 derived from CS 8 with censor's personal identification removed, 1915 "Secret" cover to the Russian Governor, Tornio "Broms" marking - discovery item, Tornio only recorded CT 21 on cover, Nikolaistad CS 22, Mark 17 - known only used one day, and many more.
