Feby 28" red pictorial handstamp with date in manuscript and matching "PAID" in scroll on 1842 folded letter addressed to Bath, NH; manuscript "18¾" rate at upper right, fresh and very fine, a sharp and detailed strike of this highly desirable handstamp that frequently come poorly struck, an Extremely Fine cover.
