Great Britain, 1840, Mulready Envelope, 1d black (Scott U1), stereo 172, used in Scotland from Duns to Edinburgh, canceled bold black Maltese Cross, postmarked boxed "DUNSE/ MY 6/ 1841" on reverse, along with red Edinburgh "Z - M" receiver the next day. Also on reverse is the small black wax seal of Clan Dunbar, featuring a knight in full armor beside his horse below the motto "In Promptu" (In Readiness).; minor flap tear.
