1881 CCC overprinted in small capitals, 1s orange showing the official attempt to remove the variety 'SHILDING' with red ink, tied by St. Lucia c.d.s. on 1896 (11 Dec) envelope registered to Barbados showing another strike of the d/stamp alongside with arrival c.d.s. (12.12) on reverse, fine. Extremely rare, believed to be one of two known examples. SG.F4b var.
