Heinrich Köhler 383rd Auction – Day 7 Grand Duchy of Baden – Frankings and Postal History – The Klaus Peter Geis Collection Schleswig-Holstein 1850–1867 – The Rolf Beyerodt Collection

Cover 6 Kreuzer ultramarine, with additional franking 1862/65, 3 Kr. rose, single and horizontal pair, with ccr. "164" and adjacent ccr. "GH. BAD. BAHNPOST 17 Mai 64/Z 19" and handwritten cancellation "Baden", to Grenoble, France. The letter was franked according to the 1857 rate for the 2nd weight class, but only the 1st weight class (6 crosses) was charged to France. One value with a small margin gap, otherwise perfect. An interesting and scarce piece. Signed Unverfehrt and certificate Brettl BPP (2004)
