Peninsular War 1811 (April 29): Entire letter written by a voltigeur in the 3rd regiment of Light Infantry from Figueras to Gap, France, struck by superb 'ARM. DE CATALOGNE' handstamp in red (Reinhardt = 750 pts). A fresh and fine entire with interesting content: the French were beseiging the Fortress which they had previously lost due to three Spanish workers stealing the keys and letting their Troops in on April 10. The Spanish forces inside Figueras held out until August 1811.
