PLANE CRASH: Airmail cover sent from Berlin to Rio de Janeiro on 26/AP/1934, carried by airplane Dornier "Tapajoz" which crashed with steamer Westphalen while landing at sea. The mail was damaged by water, and was mostly illegible. The cover received a mark in Rio: "CORRESPONDENCIA SALVA - DO ACCIDENTE DE ------------------" in violet, very handsome!
