Collection of stamps & a few covers incl. 1879 6d cover to Cape Colony (damaged) with predominantly used stamps from 1874 to the 1902 issue. A good representation of the early issues but many with minor faults as often found. Revenues to the \xA35 both M & U, 1901 Telegraph overprints, postage dues & C.S.A.R overprinted stamps & a few forgeries. A collection that needs careful study.

1900 VRI \xBDd pair - one with no stop, \xBDd with very large stop after 'I,' 1d no stop after 'I' (4), 3d with dropped 'I' (very scarce later corrected), 4d no stop after 'I' (tiny trace) all M, also 6d no stop after 'I' and \xBDd inverted ovpt (signed) U, together with 1903 1s, 2s, 1904-08 \xBDd (2), 1d, 2d (2), 2\xBDd, 3d (2), 4d, 6d (3), 1s (2), 2s, 1905-10 \xBDd (2), 2d, 2\xBDd, all M, odd minor fault. Collection of covers or postal stationery cards (written up), many with King's Heads with some used in South West Africa incl. a registered cover with boxed Prisoner of War cachet, posted 14 OCT 14, so possibly an internee rather than prisoner, and a 1927 cover registered to Sabak Bernam, Malaya, that has a tri-lingual 'Refused' label on the back & many transit cancels.
