Souvenir token - Moses Breaking the Tablets.
Obverse: Rembrandt's famous painting "Moses Breaking the Tablets of the Law".
Reverse: engraving of the two tablets of the Law - as separate tablets - that appear on a cloud and project light. Above it the inscription "REMBRANDT VAN RIJN | 1606-1669 | MOISES E AS TABUAS DA LEI".
Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijnwas a Dutch draughtsman, painter and printmaker. An innovative and prolific master in three media, he is generally considered one of the greatest visual artists in the history of art and the most important in Dutch art history. He lived between the years 1606-1669.
Moses Breaking the Tablets of the Law is a 1659 painting by the Dutch artist Rembrandt. It is now in the Gemäldegalerie, Berlin.
