Palestine. Incoming under-paid cover from Egypt sent on 11/12/1946 to Jaffa where it was taxed for three mls on 14/12/1946 using Palestine 1ml and 2mls tax due stamps (SG n. D12 & D13). In the tax square seal was written "to pay 7 mills", so most likely it is a tax fraud by using the 2mls yellow instead of the 6mls orange because the two are easily confused. NICE AND INTERESTING.

Document issued in Haifa in 1927 validated using 5mls & 1P green Hejaz stamps, 2P blue O.P.D.O. fiscal stamp, pair of 1P red, 5P blue, strip of six 20P red with variety "20 under st of Piastre" and pair of 50p black Court Fees stamps (Bale n. Hj 21 and 27, O.P. 67, CF 64, 65a, 67 & 67a and 68). VERY NICE AND SCARCE.

1918: Rouletted 1 pi. indigo, a fine example, marginal from base of sheet, used on 1918 cover from the Zionist Office, Jerusalem to Zurich tied by "ARMY POST OFFICE / SZ 44" cds in black (Feb 12) in black. Reverse with "Opened by Censor" label and two Zurich arrival cds's (March 21). Transits of "ARMY POST OFFICE / SZ 32" cds (Bir Salem) in black and skeleton type "ARMY POST OFFICE / SZ 9" cds applied in Ludd (both March 24) with "FIELD POST OFFICE / 155" cds of arrival (March 25) in Jaffa. Reseal Censor and framed "PALESTINE / CENSORSHIP" in red. Some aging but a scarce cover.
