Auction 327 has 6,736 lots, catering for all types of collectors & dealers - from bulk accumulations and intact collections to desirable single items. This auction offers a huge range of material, with special emphasis on lotting stamps to cater for collectors with varying types of interests and budgets.  Items range from $10 to $100,000 so there's something for everybody. This auction offers strong representation of Australia & Colonies, strong British Empire material of all areas & periods, as well as General Foreign including small and large collections. There is almost 300 lots of Australian Collections (Lots 363-656) and well over 400 lots of World collections (Lots 657-1070).

Following on there is almost 1200 lots of Australia which consist of singles, sets and covers including Australian colonies (Lots 1083-2404). The Australian lots cover all periods, from the Kangaroo issues up to Decimal and contains numerous number of mint & used £1 & £2 top values - this includes a Third Watermark £1 Bright brown & pale blue opt SPECIMEN type B, superb blk of 9 (pos 40-42, 46-48, 52-54) with varieties "broken coast in bight" (R41, R53) & "kangaroo's ear at right broken" (R47). Superb fresh MUH. Perfect centring, pristine never hinged original gum. SG 44s(var), ACSC 52Dx, (D)r, t & (V)u. Ex Australia Post archives which sold 2 blks, one of which is broken into a blk of 6 & strip. Unique multiple & an outstanding exhibition piece.(Lot 1146). There are over 4,300 lots of World stamps, covers and single country collections (Lots 2406-6736) with the British Empire well represented, highlighted by a British Central Africa 1896 Arms £25 green & black, wmk crown CC. Superb fresh MLH, excellent centring, pristine original gum with only slightest hinge mark, fully intact perfs & bright colours - believed to be the best quality example in existence (most other examples of this stamp are regummed or reperfed, or worse). SG 42 cat £26,000++. Major high value rarity as £25 was a fortune in those days (25 gold sovereigns!), so virtually nobody could afford to keep such a mint stamp. Important high value British Empire rarity. Exp Alberto Diena & Alberto Bolaffi, plus 1971 Dr Giulio Bolaffi photo-cert, while diff new cert can be obtained on request.(Lot 2640).A good range of China.
