Only 14 copies from the lower part of the proof sheet are recorded in private hands, some of them have thins on the reverse, this copy is flawless. Recess printed burelage type IIb. F=75.000. The original 1852 printing in rare blocks of four and a single stamp of each value of without burelage, 48 copies printed. Also a rare "minisheet" with three impressions of preliminary wood block vignette etc. Several later issues and forgeries etc.

A unique block of four cut from a larger block of perhaps 10 or 12 cliché proofs for the 8 skilling Large Oval Issue of 1864. Printed in yellow brown on paper with wmk.
