Welcome to our 100th Auction!
Dear Friends and Fellow Collectors,
Robert J. “Bob” Cohen was a great Israel/Judaica/Holy Land stamp and cover collector, and a very good friend. He passed away February 14, 2017 after a lengthy illness, at age 73.
Bob started collecting at the age of 8, and never stopped for over 65 years. He saved part of his lunch money every day so he would have money for stamp purchases.
He would take public transit after school in the Bronx, to go to New York city, to visit one of the deans of Israel collecting, Gershon Litzman.
Over the years he accumulated some of the greatest Holy Land philatelic items as witnessed by this sale.
Going through his collection I was amazed at the depth and volume of his dedication and knowledge. I’m sure he would be happy with this catalogue and sale.
Good Luck, Edward G. Rosen
