Welcome to the ONE HUNDRED THIRD NEGEV HOLYLAND AUCTION.
PLEASE NOTE THE NEW MAILING ADDRESS: PO BOX 224 COLUMBUS NJ 09022. The
Trenton Post Office is a Sectional Central Facility. That is, it processes mail for many other post offices.
The Columbus Post Office is a sub-branch. It gets its mail from a town 20 miles south. As such, mail
may take a day or two longer to reach me. So, if you do mail in bids, please mail your bids early.
The most recent BALE ISRAEL was 2016 -- 8 years ago. I am starting to switch to the MORIAH
series of catalogues for Israel. The most recent Israel is from 2021. Until the changeover is complete,
some lots for ISRAEL STAMPS will still show BALE. For the Forerunners, Mandate and Interim, BALE
will be used.
I still have many magazines, auction catalogues, stamp catalogues and some books left. These
are listed at the end. You will note that there is no start price. I will be open to most any reasonable
offer. Shipping to non-USA addresses may be expensive.
The balance of the Nate Zankel library is also listed. Orders should be made directly to the SIP
ED FUND. They will inform me as to where to ship the books.

I am almost done with the stamp album for the INTERIM PERIOD. It will include all stamps used
during the period. It should be available soon from the Society of Israel Philatelists Education Fund.

This is a special CLEAN OUT THE STOREROOM SALE. My wife and I are planning to move to a 55 Plus community by the end of 2024. There will be much less room for my stock. I will continue these auctions, E-BAY and HIP STAMP sales, and selected shows.
There are multiple parts to the sale:
Regular auction. These are lots 001 thru 334.
Low priced lots as well as collections and accumulations. These are lots 401 thru 491. The collections are priced well below retail. Please note that postage may be high. As usual there is no commission on these lots and that they are sold AS IS – NO RETURNS.
NO START -- BEST OFFER. These are lots 1001 thru 1275. No reasonable offer will be declined. By “reasonable” I mean: if you offer 50% of the price listed I may very well decline. If you offer 75% of the price listed for 10 or more items, I may very well accept the offer. Commission will be added.
VITAL NOTE: My wife and I will be away FEBRUARY 16 thru MARCH 01. I will have limited access to e-mail. You may still send in bids.

My wife, Helene, and I have a cruise planned for late January 2022. Please endeavour to send your payments well before that.
Looking ahead, the One Hundredth NEGEV HOLYLAND SALE will be sometimes in 2022. This will be a very special sale. Current plans (subject to change) are for all or mostly new material – few if any repeated lots. The minimum start will be $100. The entire catalogue may be in color. There may even be a special low commission (vendor and buyer). The catalogue will be mailed to all clients. [Currently, it is mailed only to those who request a hard copy. This auction features much Holocaust related material. These are the holding of two long-time collector who are starting to dispose of their material. If you want more items of this nature, please ask. Please look in all sections of this sale for this.

Last time I noted that a vendor has a very extensive holding of JEWISH NATIONAL FUND material. Due to the COVID-19, he was unable to show the material. It includes singles, blocks, sheets, covers, and much more. He wants to sell this as a unit. If you want to see it, please contact me. Viewing will be at his home. The price is negotiable.

These collections were assembled by a very prestigious collector/dealer. Each has many notes. These were used to write the descriptions. Some have copies of articles by the collector/dealer. These may be in Hebrew or English. Some of the collections can form the basis of a more extensive study, philatelic exhibit, articles in a stamp magazine or a book. The collector/dealer may be willing to assist in this endeavor. Time permitting, I will work with you.
These are being sold at the prices listed. Postage is included for US addresses. For non-US addresses, the postage will be the difference between the US postage and the fees to your location. (Warning: This may be expensive as these are heavy.). Please add 5% if payment by credit card or PAYPAL.

NOTES:
I will consider offers for volumes within collections. However, I will not break up volumes.
All sales are FINAL – NO RETURNS. Condition can vary. I attempted to be as precise as possible. There could be material not listed. I may have mis-described some items.
I scanned many items from each collection. These should be representative of what is in the collection. Please do not ask for additional scans.
One may note that many of the covers are not 100% true commercial covers. I define three types of covers. These collections contain all three types.
PURE PHILATELIC COVERS have not been in the mail stream. This includes First Day Covers, special event covers and covers without addresses.
PHILATELICALLY INSPIRED COMMERCIAL COVERS were covers made by or for philatelists. This includes First Flight Covers that have proof of being flown and FDC that did go thru the mails paying the proper rate. As long there is some indication that the cover did do postal duty, it can be included. I believe that if it were not for philatelists of the past, we would not have many of our prized covers.
PURE COMMERCIAL COVERS are ordinary mail.

Many other auction firms have a 20% buyer’s commission. I am keeping the commission here at 16%. However, the CREDIT CARD and PAY PAL fees are in excess of 3% -- more like 5%. As such, I am forced to increase the CREDIT CARD and PAY PAL surcharge to 4%.
Please note that the closing is a Monday and not a Sunday. I need to be at work that Sunday -- I have a retirement job at SIX FLAGS GREAT ADVENTURE in Jackson, NJ.

I am keeping the LOW PRICED LOTS. The photos are on the web site. For my clients who do not use the web or computers, I will send a limited number of scans for free. These lots are offered AS IS – NO RETURNS. There is NO COMMISSION but the 4% surcharge and postage will be applied. The lot numbers start with 601.
On a personal note, if I may. My wife, Charyl, passed away in May. She was a true philatelist wife, helping out whenever she could. Those of you who met her knew how friendly and giving she was.

As we all well know, there is much fraudulent and faked material in the INTERIM period. Certificates are generally not issued for this material. This is, more or less, a BUYER BEWARE area with the material being sold AS IS. Nevertheless, in accordance with the terms of sale #06, if, within 30 days - unless a extension is asked for in writing - a competent authority, whom I recognize, states in writing that the material is faked or fraudulent, a full refund will be given

Welcome to the Eighty-eight NEGEV HOLYLAND AUCTION.
There are two sections in this sale. The first section has the usual fine offering of material. The second section contains the material from a life-long collector who is starting to sell his holdings. There is some very nice Mandate and Interim material.
I have been using MICROSOFT WINDOWS 7. For auction tracking (and much personal work) I use MS WORKS Database and Spreadsheets. I had to get a new laptop. It did not come with WINDOWS 7, but WINDOWS 10. Sooner or later, I will need to upgrade mu DESKTOP to WINDOWS 10 as well. Unfortunately, it does not support MS WORKS.
As such, I had to start converting the databases to MS ACCESS and the spreadsheets to EXCEL. To do so, I had to hire an expert in MS ACCESS. This was a huge project. The CLIENT DATA BASE is now on MS ACCESS.
Nearly 18 years’ worth of BID BOOKS are in MS WORKS Databases. These will be converted to MS ACCESS. The auction summaries and invoices are in MS WORKS spreadsheets. The summaries will be converted to MS EXCEL. The invoices will NOT be converted. If you need any data from a past auction, I still should be able to get it. The catalogues themselves will remain in MS WORKS.
After 40 years of designing and programming mainframe systems, I know that no matter how well it was designed, coded, and tested, problems will arise when a new system is implemented. SO PLEASE BEAR WITH ME. Thank you.
This time, please be very patient with me when you call in your bids and ask for the current status of a lot. Also please allow me extra time to get the lots mailed. There will be a new format for your invoice.
