1914, 3¢ deep violet, "pink back" variety (Scott 426 var.), o.g., never hinged, an outstanding example of this desirable "pink back" variety caused by the aniline inks used to produce some printings of Scott #'s 425, 426 and 435a, a gorgeous example featuring huge JUMBO margins and great color, Extremely Fine, 2014 P.S.E. certificate graded XF-90J (1 of only 5 examples at this grade, with 40 others grading higher).
