1840 entire from Tynemouth to Penrith, fine 'TYNEMOUTH' in black & North Shields c.d.s in blue/green, 1841 1d cut into, obverse with fine 'TYNEMOUTH' in red with N.Shields despatch d/stamp on reverse for 19th Oct, obverse bears Carlisle receiving d/stamp for the same date. 1843 envelope franked 1841 1d, four large margins, tied bold black MC bearing on obverse undated circle of Tynemouth in blue, 1852 envelope with contents from Worcester to Tynemouth & then redirected to Shotton, franked 1841 1d (faults), reverse bears several transit marks incl. TYNEMOUTH u.c, Morpeth, Newcastle etc. (4)
