1872 French/Turkish mixed franking: Folded cover from Marseilles to Alep franked by four singles of Ceres 80c. tied by Anchor in diamond of dots h/s, with boxed "P.P." and doubly circled "LIGNE X EQ.FR. No2 27 DEC 72" dater, and franked on the reverse by Turkish 1868-70 Duloz issues 20pa., 5pi. and 25pi. all tied by native square h/s, Smyrna transit dater alongside. The Turkish 25pi. stamp damaged (when a wax seal has been removed) otherwise fine. A scarce mixed franking.
