lot # 5500 - China - Volksrepublik - Provinzen
China - Volksrepublik - Provinzen: Chinese Red Posts, West Hunan-Hupeh Soviet Base, 1930 (ca.), Star
Chinese Red Posts, West Hunan-Hupeh Soviet Base, 1930 (ca.), Star with Hammer and Sickle Issue, 1c, unused no gum as issued. This very rare stamp (we register only 7 copies) is unlisted currently. However new studies, like the article in "Asian Philatelist", 2015, pp 177-180 which is based on research of Hugh W. Hubbard, 'Early Chinese Communist Stamps 1928-1938', 1969) indicates that this is a regular stamp out of a set of three (1c, 4c and 10c). The stamp has a rough pinhole perforation, scissors often made the separation, for this copy on the right side. Light horizontal crease, at left tear 11mm which does not touch design, otherwise F-VF, a great rarity (Unlisted).
